About the Oklahoma Public School Resource Center (OPSRC)

OPSRC is a nonprofit dedicated to improving all public schools in Oklahoma. To relieve the administrative burden on public schools, the Center will provide technical services in the following areas: finance, technology, legal, teaching and learning, and communications. Additionally, the Center will work to foster collaboration in the public education community by articulating collaborative reform strategies and advocating for policies that help strengthen public schools in Oklahoma.  Membership in OPSRC is open to Oklahoma public charter schools, rural school districts, educational cooperatives and educationally-related entities and businesses.


Job Description

The ed tech coordinator will work with the director of technology on promoting the use of technology in education, including instruction.


Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Be an instructional technology coach for our member districts.
  • Collaboration with school teachers and school and district leadership to inspire innovation in the classroom through the use of technology.
  • Provide professional growth opportunities for educators via workshops, web-based training and personal interactions.

  • Considerable knowledge of current best practices for the use of technology in education, including instruction.
  • Objective analysis of new technology services and products as they are developed to determine their effectiveness in education.
  • A great communicator who builds trust from school leaders and teachers. The ed tech coordinator must establish and maintain effective working relationships with OPSRC members, educational entities and other stakeholders.
  • Must be detail oriented, extremely organized, and have exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Passionate about public education reform: The OPSRC is dedicated to identifying solutions to improve public school options for ALL children in Oklahoma.  All employees will operate with a sense of urgency and possibility.  Must be able to work collaboratively in a culturally and politically diverse community.


Minimum Qualifications

  • The position requires a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant work experience. Demonstrated ability to apply innovative and resourceful solutions to solve challenges and the ability to meet detailed project goals while working independently.
  • Strong preference for someone with a familiarity with technology use in education.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to clearly organize thoughts and/or document content and convey complex concepts effectively regardless of audience.
  • Travel will be required across Oklahoma for meetings or nationally for conferences.  Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.


Salary and Benefits

Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included.


Work Environment

OPSRC offices are located at 309 NW 13th, Oklahoma City, OK, 73103. The office is in a two-story structure and has no elevator. Some locations visited during the course of executing job duties may not be wheelchair accessible and some time may be spent participating in outside activities. Accommodations will be made for all meetings on the first floor.


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, such as keyboarding and writing.  The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. Must have visual acuity to read and draft reports, memos, letters, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the incumbent perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently.  Must be able to walk, climb stairs, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift arms and hands above shoulder level. Must be able to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds occasionally. Must be able to manually operate and use a computer. Must be able to clearly hear and understand telephone conversations. Must be able to speak and communicate clearly.
