Job Description

Position Summary

To cultivate their instructional prowess and classroom support, Preparatory Interventionists will work as a team to ensure support for all students and to maintain a commitment to the mission of Collegiate Hall. Preparatory Interventionists will develop and modify curricula and prepare lessons for student ability levels in grades 4-6. Preparatory Interventionists ensure all students receive the support necessary to be successful.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • An unwavering commitment to and belief in the mission of Collegiate Hall, including Collegiate Hall’s values and educational model
  • A commitment to working with underserved, urban youth
  • The ability to focus and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to effectively work in a team environment and the willingness and desire to support others in doing their best work
  • A desire to learn and grow with consistent observation and feedback
  • Experience in student supports, math and/or reading intervention

Responsibilities:

Content/Culture

  • Modify lesson plans based around student data and student needs
  • Submit student work for printing by Wednesdays at 4:30 PM
  • Scaffold for students around content taught in class
  • Implement school-wide consequence ladder
  • Believe that all students can and will learn
  • Support Grades 4-6 teachers in implementing IEP services
  • Provide small-group support for Grades 4-6 students in reading and math to reach growth goals

  • Read weekly blast and complete weekly blast action items
  • Attend weekly coaching meetings
  • Implement coaching feedback
  • Attend Orientation, Report Card Pick-Up, and family nights as scheduled
  • Meet time stamps including contract start and end times and instructional deadlines
