Details on this training:

This is a THREE-PART VIRTUAL workshop covering NWEA MAP Growth. Participants will be registering for all three sessions. The workshop is designed for teachers and staff who are either new to NWEA MAP Growth or want to improve their understanding and use of NWEA MAP Growth data. The dates of the sessions are planned to provide teachers with "just-in-time" ongoing support as they plan assessments and begin to explore and use the data.

Aug 24: Prepare for assessing:

  • What are the purpose and value of the MAP Growth assessments? Learn what makes the MAP Growth assessments unique and meaningful.
  • How do we prepare for and administer the MAP Growth assessments? Plan how to communicate effectively about MAP Growth with students and families.

Sept 14: Explore the instructional data after assessing:

  • How are my students doing? Learn about the metrics and explore your most recent student data.

Oct 5: Get ready for conferences:

  • How do I share students’ MAP Growth data? Identify reports and data to share with students and families.

The set of workshops will be facilitated by an NWEA Professional Learning Consultant.  Each session will start at 3:30 and end at 4:30.

Registrants will recieve a link via email to the virtual meeting about a week before the first session.

Space is extremely limited for this event so districts are limited to a maximum of 5 participants per district. Additional people will be put on a waitlist and contacted if a space opens up.
