The OPSRC is pleased to present Sheila Stinnett in a 4 session series designed to support and tend the social-emotional needs of educators as we all work to thrive in an exceptional year.
Sheila Stinnett is the current Executive Director of Edmond Family Counseling. She is an Oklahoma Licensed Professional Counselor and holds two master’s degrees from Oklahoma City University.
Prior to coming to work full time at EFC in 2012, Sheila was employed for 10 years by Edmond Public Schools as an elementary school counselor and achieved her National Board Certification in the area of School Counseling while working at Cross Timbers Elementary School.
A strong advocate for children and families, Sheila has facilitated small psycho-educational groups for Edmond Family Counseling for over 19 years. A highly requested speaker and presenter, Sheila has worked with students, parents, and educators from across the state of Oklahoma on a variety of personal development topics.
She is the co-author of the book, A Spotlight on School Counselor Interventions: It’s Not Just About School Schedules, which has been selected as required reading material for several college and university school counseling programs.
A lifelong resident of the state of Oklahoma, Sheila enjoys reading, working on art projects and spending time hanging out at home with her rescue dogs Murphy and Mena.
