In response to a complaint filed by parents of a child with a history of violent behaviors including grabbing and hitting his teacher, the Family Policy Compliance Office (“FPCO”) agreed with a school district’s disclosure of personally identifiable information from their son’s education records without their consent.
Last Tuesday was quite a day in case you haven’t heard. The governor’s office issued an executive order to require discussion of "administrative services" consolidation in all schools that spend less than 60% of their revenue in the classroom.

It never ceases to amaze me when I attend professional educational conferences or professional development sessions how the attire of some teachers and even administrators can be questionable at best. Yet everyone from the Oklahoma state superintendent down is working desperately to elevate the teaching profession’s credibility.
