Tammy Dillard serves as the director of the Teaching & Learning team. Among the multitude of projects she oversees, she heads up the Innovative School Cohort, which seeks to redesign what school and learning look like for today's students.
She has worked in public education more than 30 years, having taught a variety of grade levels in TX and OK. Tammy served 20 years as the principal of Purcell Elementary School. She completed the Oklahoma State Dept. of Education’s Lead to Succeed training program in 2017 as a member of the inaugural cohort. She has a passion for literacy, developing teacher capacity and building cultures of continuous improvement.
Tammy grew up in Colbert, Oklahoma. She received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Tammy completed her graduate work in curriculum and supervision at the University of Oklahoma and later earned her credential as a reading specialist via East Central University in Ada.
